The Date Better Guide started with a simple idea — great dates don't happen by accident. They happen when you show up somewhere worth being.

How it started

Born from speed dating events

The Date Better Guide grew out of a community of real people going on real dates. Through hosting speed dating events across Southern California, we discovered something: the venues people connect in matter just as much as the people themselves.

We started collecting the best spots — the ones with the right energy, the ones where conversations flow naturally, the ones where people actually want to linger. Rooftop bars with killer views. Golf simulators that break the ice instantly. Pottery studios where you can't help but laugh.

Every venue in this guide has been personally vetted through our events network. No random Yelp picks. No paid placements. Just the places we'd actually send our friends.
